In the morning Rusty and I drove up to Mount Rainier. Along the way we ran into this rather colorful and unique motel.
After reaching Paradise Park on Mount Rainier, I hiked about a mile up the climbers trail towards Camp Muir and took a number of photos. Here is one I liked looking up towards the mountain.
Since we still had not heard from Rusty's sister we decided to stay at the Paradise Inn which had just re-opened two weeks ago after being closed for renovations for the last two years.
Here is a shot of the lights in the main hall of the inn, taken from the balcony.
Today, I did not take any photos. After leaving Paradise Inn we continued on around the mountain counter-clockwise on Steven's Pass which had just reopened for the season yesterday and then back towards Seattle.
After never hearing from Rusty's sister, although he was feeling good about at least making the effort, I took Rusty to the airport and then I drove home.
I apologize for the delay in posting the last of these journal entries but there really was not time to get it done prior to making it back home.
